Supervision

Having regular supervision will help you become the best version of your professional self. Stop 'fire fighting' through the day, start feeling energised, spacious and inspired. Supervision is a purposeful and restorative experience, supporting both the personal and professional needs of those working with children and young people. Through relational supervision you will experience a holistic transformation, a feeling of more space and time, a better capacity to reflect instead of react to situations and satisfaction with your career choices. The course includes six supervision sessions and a community space to ask questions and gain feedback in-between sessions. Discount available to schools within the local area (BCP council), please email me to enquire about this option.

What you are going to learn
Supervision is a purposeful and restorative experience, supporting both the personal and professional needs of those working with children and young people. It is a work based psychological process for personal development, covering subjects such as behaviour management, career development, compassion fatigue and concerns about burnout. A good supervision session improves capacity for reflection and helps with acknowledging personal feelings and how they influence behaviours and responses when relating to others in role. Unless there are safeguarding concerns, discussions will be kept confidential to enable practitioners to feel safe to openly and honestly reflect. In psychotherapy and psychology professions, regular supervision is required to maintain wellbeing and good practice for all. I believe that all school teachers, yoga teachers and community practitioners working on the front line deserve regular supervision too.
