Harnessing the healing power of play, movement, art and nature. Jess utilises a playful, embodied and attachment focused approach, and specialises in supporting those impacted by developmental trauma, fostering and/or adoption.

About me

Hello, my name is Jess. Welcome to my website! I hope that my passion for creative play, nature and movement comes through these pages.

I have worked for 10 years with children and adolescents in educational and mental health settings. As a qualified primary school teacher and yoga teacher, I furthered my training at The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, and at Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. I am registered with the BACP and accredited by BCP council to offer child, adolescent and family psychotherapy services for the adoption support fund and for local schools.

I specialise in attachment, working with young people, families and professionals who may be experiencing the impact of social, emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties and who may have experienced trauma. I offer an integrative approach which is supported by research from psychology, neurophysiology and attachment theory.

Movement and art have always improved my wellbeing and allowed me to create space to support myself and others. It brings me so much joy to enable other practitioners to share the benefits via my yoga teacher trainings (see more info below).

Alongside one-to-one sessions, I have developed and facilitated group programmes including; Mind Body Balance (MBB), Group Theraplay, Wild and Free Therapy and Surfing to Self Love (surf therapy). These programmes enable the participants to connect as a group and develop a sense of community.
